Gajendra my younger son, Gayatri his wife, or Sushila his sister-in-law, will share their passion for cooking with you.
Learning how to prepare a variety of delicious, healthy and simple Indian dishes will develop your understanding of our culture, expand your culinary horizons and give you this know-how that will surprise family and friends once back home.
In India, the diversity of the cuisine has nothing to envy to that of its natural landscapes. Each state has its own culinary traditions mainly based on the gifts of nature. In the Rajastan desert we live in, faced with ingredients scarcity, people have developed the art of creating a variety of great-tasting flavours out of very little.
Being vegetarian ourselves, our classes will focus exclusively on vegetarian cooking. You will learn how to prepare local dishes with vegetables and pulses but also to make tchaï, the Indian tea, or chapattis and parathas, Indian breads.
A compilation of Apani Dhani best recipes, printed on handmade recycled paper, is available for sale both in English and French.
Duration of this activity: 2h30 to 3h
